Two & Three Years
Big growth happens here.
Two and three are BIG years. Children are finding their voices, testing their independence, building friendships, and discovering just how much they can do for themselves.
Our Preschool program gives children room to play, explore, create, and learn while caring teachers help them build the language, social-emotional, early academic, and self-help skills that prepare them for what comes next.
Growing Independence, One Day at a Time
Two- and three-year-olds are learning to do so much for themselves — and they're incredibly proud when they do.
Throughout the day, children are encouraged to make choices, communicate their needs, participate in classroom routines, care for their belongings, practice self-help skills, and work through the everyday challenges that come with being part of a group.
Teachers are close by to guide, model, encourage, and help when needed — giving children the support to try, practice, and eventually say:
“I did it myself!”
The Little Things Become BIG Things
At two and three, everyday moments are full of learning. We intentionally use routines, play, conversations, and friendships to help children practice the skills they'll carry into their next classroom — and far beyond it.
💬 Language Everywhere
Stories, songs, conversations, questions, and play help children build vocabulary and learn to express their ideas, feelings, and needs.
🤝 Learning to Be a Friend
Teachers help children practice sharing space, taking turns, navigating big feelings, solving conflicts, and building genuine friendships.
🚽 Potty Learning Partnership
When children are ready, we work alongside families to encourage potty learning with consistency, patience, and plenty of positive reinforcement.
📱 You’re Part of Their Day
Families receive photos, classroom updates, and important care information through Brightwheel throughout the day.
Learning Through Play — With Purpose
Preschoolers learn best when they’re actively involved. At Biloxi Bay Academy, play and learning aren’t separate parts of the day — they happen together.
Our teachers intentionally create hands-on experiences that introduce early literacy, language, math, science, art, problem-solving, and fine-motor skills in ways that make sense to two- and three-year-olds.
Children might count while building, strengthen their hands while creating art, discover cause and effect through sensory play, practice new vocabulary during pretend play, or develop early literacy skills while enjoying stories and songs.
They’re playing.
They’re exploring.
And they’re learning the entire time.
